Medipal Pro helps you as a patient to follow the effect of inserted treatment by answering questions on the mobile phone. It provides an analysis of your health status during your treatment time.
Through your answers, Medipal helps you and your caregiver to study the effects of your treatment. The questions relate to how you experience different symptoms, how you feel and the effect of other factors, which are important to follow during, for instance, a drug treatment over time.
Once you have answered the questions on your mobile phone, your answers are immediately reported to the caregiver, i.e. the doctor, nurse, psychologist or physiotherapist, via the Medipals healthcare portal. They can then, via your aggregated responses, find the relationships and trends and then better evaluate the efficacy of the treatment. At the same time, they can study how other symptoms, such as pain, fatigue, sleep, mental ill-health, stress, affect you and your treatment. This will enable them to act more quickly when they can study the results of the treatment earlier or if the treatment is not working. In these cases, the healthcare professional may increase or decrease the dosage, change the medication or end the treatment.
Your caregiver chooses customized questions for, or together with, you. Then you decide what time and how often to answer the questions. In this way, you don't have to remember everything in detail the next time you meet or talk to your caregiver. Everything is registered in Medipal. Medipal helps to remind you to answer the right questions at the right time.
Medipal is user-friendly and can be used independently of diagnosis. Medipal has been used during a long time by people from under 8 years to over 90 years.
Medipal uses secure (encrypted) communication for all information sent to and from your iPhone.
